Three roads in Bangkok’s old quarter will close later today to accommodate a government-organized religious ceremony.
From 6pm to around 10pm, Ratchadamnoen Nok, Sri Ayutthaya and Uthong Nai roads will be temporarily closed for a multidenominational ceremony honoring the “five sacred religions” to be held at Dusit Palace starting at 5pm.
From 3pm-5pm, Ratchadamnoen Nok will become one way, the Metropolitan Police Bureau announced yesterday.
The ceremony will include the five major religions of Buddhism, Islam, Christianity, Hinduism and Sikhism in honor of Thailand’s royal family.
The ceremony is open to the public. Parking will be available at the former Dusit Zoo from 4pm on.
