As of 11:30am today, Bangkok Post’s site had been hacked and dark imagery reminiscent of heavy metal albums covers as well as images from Game of Thrones flashed across the screen.
Hacker Sakit Hati was taking credit for the breach. Below his name the words “your website has been damaged” flashed, although the search bar still read www.bangkokpost.com.
It’s unknown why the hacker targeted Bangkok Post, but a quick Google search revealed that he is a seasoned hacker. This Twitter account appears to say that he is Indonesian.
