Bangkok to Pattaya motorway toll to increase to 105 baht for cars

The introduction of a new, more expensive toll structure for the Bangkok to Pattaya motorway means a few less baht in your pocket when you reach your destination.

The Department of Highways (DOH) Director-General Thanin Somboon said that the new toll structure on the motorway goes into effect on April 19 and means that a 4-wheel car will have to pay THB105, up from the previous cost of THB60. He said that that the adjusted toll will reflect an extended road network and improved facilities of the closed system fare collection that takes into account the length of the road network, reported NNT.

There will be an increase in toll fare for other trypes of vehicles as well. Vehicles with six wheels will have pay THB170, up from THB100, and vehicles larger than that will have to pay THB245, up from THB140.

The motorway is now enhanced with a better road surface, better drainage, better illumination, fewer crossings, better management, and traffic control by a 24-hour control center that can provide service for any incident at any time.
