Foodies, rejoice; Bangkok has been declared the world’s “Foodiest City.”
The “Tastiest Fast Feasts” awards recently conferred by the British culinary website Chowzter, aim to uncover the most delicious fast food served by locally owned establishments with locally sourced food, and are based on nominations by local food experts and bloggers.
The choices are dwindled down to 60 and tested by a team of Chowzter tasters across several categories, including pizzas, vegetarian, bakery, rice, sandwiches and more.
In the ‘’Foodiest’’ category, Bangkok beat London, Lima, Singapore and Vancouver.
One restaurant in the city has also been recognised for its signature dish, the Phat Thai served at the Phat Thai Thip Samai restaurant won in the “Noodle” category.
