A 23-year-old man convicted of putting a hit on his own family last year has been sentenced to die.
Kittinan Homchong was sentenced Friday for the triple-homicide of his teacher mother, retired army father and police lieutenant brother in April, 2014, inside their home in the capital’s Bang Khae district.
Kittinan was convicted of hiring Sirichai Phoemphunsak to kill them by covering their heads with pillows before firing bullets into their heads in exchange for a car, jewelry and Buddha amulets.
Kittinan was accused of murdering his family because he was angry his dad wouldn’t hand over a plot of land worth THB1 million and was generally critical of his behavior.
Four co-conspirators including a friend and two other hitmen were handed life sentences in exchange for their confessions, The Nation reported.
