Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra is inviting Thais to the 2013 Food & Fruit Festival, taking place now through July 4 at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani.
After presiding over the opening ceremony of the Food & Fruit Festival 2013, the Prime Minister said the government has been placing emphasis on developing the country’s economy, especially the One Tambon One Product (OTOP) policy. The PM claimed that OTOP products not only help lift the economy, they also create jobs and generate income for local people.
The fair, according to Yingluck, is also considered as a distribution channel for agricultural products, especially during this time of year when fruit prices are low.
Over 460 booths are set up at the fair for visitors to enjoy.
