Bangkok cops have nabbed six suspects of one of the largest car burglary rings in the country.
The Metropolitan Police Bureau said the suspects were arrested in Chon Buri in possession of a pickup truck and four cars used in the burglaries.
Police opened an investigation into the car burglary ring, which they said was the third biggest in Thailand, after several complaints of stolen cars were filed with Udomsuk Police Station.
The six suspects confessed that they had been stealing cars since 2009, with most stolen vehicles smuggled to neighboring countries and sold.
Pol.Lt.Gen.Sanit Mahathaworn, acting commander of the Metropolitan Police Bureau, said the suspects had stolen vehicles in Udomsuk, Lat Krabang, Khu Khot and Bang Yai areas.
Police are hunting other suspects in the case, he added.
