A condominium security guard who allegedly raped one of his residents turned himself into the police yesterday.

Montri Yaikratok, 40, walked into a police station in Sakeao province on Thursday afternoon after allegedly breaking into a 36-year-old woman’s room and assaulting her earlier this week. He was charged with sexual assault and invasion, according to Lt. Gen. Samran Nuanma of Bangkok’s Metropolitan Police Bureau.

Montri was initially denied bail, Samran said.

Early Tuesday morning, the police were alerted to the assault of a 36-year-old woman by a security guard of the Parkland Phetkasem condominium. The attacker was later identified as Montri.

Montri had a criminal record that included two prior sexual assaults in 2013 and 2017.
