Bangkok will have an even gloomier and wetter week, the Thai Meteorological Department has issued a warning for an upcoming summer storm and more rain in the city.
The department said today that Bangkok will suffer from a summer storm, which will result in strong winds and heavy rains in some areas from Thursday to Sunday.
The summer storm is caused by a new wave of low pressure from China.
From today to Thursday, the chance of rain is at 20-40 percent with average highest temperatures of 31-33 degrees Celsius, but from Friday to Sunday, the chance of rain will increase to 40-60 percent.
The department advises people to sit tight for updates.
