The dinosaur that fell afoul of Bangkok traffic laws has handed itself in to police.
A robotic T-Rex caused a stir when it was driven in a truck around Victory Monument, Din Daeng and Siam Paragon area on Monday as it headed to join 200 other dinosaurs at“Dinosaur Planet,” a new theme park near Phrom Phong BTS.
But a deputy police commissioner was not amused and said the truck triver had broken a traffic law by not attaching a red flag to the end of the dinosaur, which protruded from the back of the truck.
You know, in case other drivers weren’t able to spot the huge dinosaur.
The errant dinosaur was clearly too ashamed of itself and sent its buddy Velociraptor in its place to report to police.
The robot was filmed by Thai News Agency heading to Phaya Thai Police Station, where it was fined THB2,400.
The bad raptor posed for photos by passersby, clearly unrepentant and reveling in its new celebrity.
Let’s hope it’s learned its lesson.
