Baby tigers rescued days away from becoming someone’s dinner

Awww, look at those big baby kitten faces.

On Wednesday Thai police rescued five baby tigers and hundreds of other animals on their way to being sold as food in Vietnam and China.

Highway officers searched a pickup truck in the northeast which was making its way to the Laotian border and found one-month-old endangered tiger cubs along with hundreds of other creatures including monitor lizards and turtles.

Police said that traffickers use Thailand as a transit point to Laos and then to buyers in other Asian markets, The Nation reported.
