The Match will put the crunch on traffic near Rajamangala National Stadium as large crowds converge on the pitch for a glimpse of Manchester United vs. Liverpool FC, police warned today.

Hua Mark police this morning warned people to stay off Ramkhamhaeng and Hua Mak roads today and tomorrow, when football fans gather for the one-off friendly match The Match Bangkok Century Cup 2022.

This evening, traffic will be impacted by lookie-loos gathering as the footballers train for Tuesday’s match, which is expected to draw 60,000 spectators.

The use of public transportation is highly encouraged while motorists are advised to opt for Rama XI and Srinagarindra-Rom Klao roads instead.

A sea of football fans gathered Friday and Saturday at both major Bangkok airports to welcome the athletes as they touched down in the capital city.

Those who don’t want to pay for hefty tickets to see the clash can instead strap on some even costlier gear to take in the action via a VR livestream
