A catalog of abuses – or “rights challenges” in NGO parlance – will be presented to the public next week.
Human Rights Watch will present a 667-page annual report on “rights challenges” in Southeast Asia and “identify opportunities” for governments to address these “concerns.”
The report’s scope is international, covering more than 90 nations. Several speakers will be on hand to discuss the specific situations in Thailand, Myanmar, Cambodia, Vietnam and Malaysia.
Speakers include HRW’s deputy Asia director and senior researchers for Thailand, Laos and Myanmar.
