Asian Games: Men’s football trounces Indonesia 6-0, advances to second round

Thai men’s football came out on top of its group with a shut out of Indonesia yesterday.

Adisak Kraisorn kicked two goals in while Chanatip Songkrasin, Kroekrit Taweekarn, Chananan Pombupha and Pinyo Inpinit each scored for the team closing the match 6-0.

They’ll face competition from Chinese players in their next match Thursday.

Nisa Romyen and Kanjana Sang-Ngern on Sunday scored four goals to lead the national women’s team to the second round by defeating India 10-0.

In tennis, Tamarine “Tammy” Tanasugarn led her to defeat Uzbekistan’s squad and enter the second round.

Controversial Taekwondo coach Choi Young-seok is on the way with his players, whom he has said will not be allowed to talk to their families for more than one hour each day, according to state media.
