As a cheeky side project, photographer Kachain Wongleawthong has been taking Polaroid shots of models during his assignments for magazines and other commercial outlets for the past 12 years.
A collection of these spontaneous out-takes called “Untitled” will be on display at WTF Gallery from August 2-29.
Kachain, who is head photographer at A Day and Hamburger magazines, believes that Polaroids are similar to Andy Warhol’s in that they “portray another world that seems more immediate, less posed, with an essential ‘being theren-ess’ that digital cannot achieve.”
WTF will hold an opening reception on August 1.
