Rumble over Bangkok: Royal Thai Air Force taking to the skies

The rainy season isn’t the only force bringing the thunder to skies over Bangkok this month: The Royal Thai Air Force will proudly celebrate 100 years of military aviation next week.

The air shows, which take place on June 22nd at the RTAF museum in Don Muang and June 29-July 2nd at Don Muang Airport, will include aerial displays by two iconic fighter jets, the Gripen 39C and the legendary American F-16A. The RTAF will also put on an aerobatic display by the famed Blue Phoenix Fleet.

A special treat for the folks attending the Don Muang show on June 29-30 will be the appearance of the Jupiter KT1, an Indonesian flying stunt team. A fleet of F-16s from Singapore will also be in attendance.
