Art university professor investigated after allegedly forcing student to pose nude

A professor at Thailand’s most respected arts school, Silpakorn University, is in hot water after a student alleged that he forced her to pose nude for him to photograph.

The university asked a panel to probe an unnamed male teacher who may have asked a female student to pose for him in a private session and then forced her to remove her clothing, reported Bangkok Post.

The news broke over the weekend after a young man posted on the Pantip forum that his girlfriend, a Silpakorn decorative arts student, told him that she was asked to be an art model for a male professor.

According to the young man, the professor said that he wanted to draw her as a classic character from Thai literature, but when she arrived he locked the door behind her and asked her to undress.

The poster wrote, “My girlfriend was asked to come alone, so she was quite scared. At first, the lecturer told her to take off her clothes, but allowed her to wear her bra and underwear. But after he took photos of her for a while, he suddenly told her to remove her undergarments. He even used a pair of scissors to cut her silicone bra,” he alleged.

The young man went on to say that, when the professor asked her to pose in a lewd, spread-eagled way, she finally became too scared to continue and refused.

He claimed on the forum that the professor has victimized other female students at the university, often asking the prettiest to come and pose for him. He warned other female students to be wary of this professor and expressed his anger at what had happened.

He also alleged that the professor would often call the young women after the sessions to give them copies of the photos. He claimed that many were so hurt and ashamed that they had burned the pictures. It is unknown how he came by the information about other young women in his allegations.

His post went viral and Silpakorn University responded by acknowledging the rumor and investigating. They have said that, if he is guilty, the professor will face legal charges as well as university discipline. He is still teaching during the probe.

To given the university time to investigate, Pantip removed the young man’s post after their response.
