Apple confirmed the release date for the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus in Thailand yesterday, though we’re still being kept in the dark about the launch of the much-anticipated, and very pricey, iPhone X.

According to the Apple Store Thailand website, the iPhone 8 will launch in Thailand on Nov. 3. The main three mobile service providers — AIS, DTAC and Truemove H — will all begin selling the new iPhone on the same date.

None of the carriers have announced pricing yet, though Truemove H has opened registration for those interested in pre-ordering the iPhone 8.

Just like the iPhone 7 and iPhone 6s, the iPhone 8 comes with options of 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch displays. With an “all-new glass design,” the iPhone 8 boasts wireless charging, a new True Tone display, and a more advanced 12MP camera with a faster sensor.

Design-wise, there’s not much in the way of major developments from the iPhone 7 or iPhone 6, and people have reported that the iPhone 8 allegedly cracked open when connected to the charger.

Apple began shipping the iPhone 8 in the U.S. on Sept. 22, with the price starting at US$699 (THB23,370).

Thailand, meanwhile, will have to wait longer still for the iPhone X, a much-more advanced iPhone with Face ID, a new selfie mode that promises studio-quality lighting effects, and “Animoji,” a 3D emoji created with your facial expressions and voice.

Apple has announced that the iPhone X pre-orders in the U.S. will begin on Oct. 27, with shipping set for Nov. 3. But if you want those better emojis and selfies, you’ll have to pay a whopping US$999 (THB33,400).
