While nothing can be predicted – landslide? delay? civil war? – the competing overseas chapters of the Democratic and Republican parties are holding dueling watch parties. Fortunately, both will have alcohol in ready supply.
Donald Trump’s Republicans have confidently named their event the Trump Victory Party. It will go down at the Bourbon Street Restaurant in the Tana Arcade Alley on Ekkamai Road, a brief walk from BTS Ekkamai. It starts at 7:30am.
“Join fellow Republicans Wednesday morning as we enjoy another surprise (to our opponents) Trumpian landside [sic] victory! American breakfast and coffee served!” Republicans Overseas announced.
Over at Roadhouse BBQ at the intersection of Rama IV and Surawong roads, Democrats Abroad will be holding their breaths and hoping lightning doesn’t strike twice.
