Anarchy in the BKK: Old-school vandals spray Criminal Court

Anarchy symbols were found sprayed onto a sign outside the Criminal Court on Ratchadaphisek Road yesterday morning.

Paitoon Koonkim, court head of security, said he discovered the vandalism early Sunday morning during his patrol, so he has erased them with chemicals, adding this is the first time someone spray-painted the court’s sign.

Bawornsak Tawipak, spokesman of Courts of Justice, said yesterday the court has filed a police report but do not know whether the act was supposed to be a political statement or not.

A staple of 1970s punk rock, the letter encircled letter “A” was repurposed in the 21st century by the anti-globalization movement. However some spray-paint it just because it look “cool.”

Authorities said will track down the vandal from CCTV, Khaosod reported.
