Beautiful, wholesome Pattaya
Friends and associates of Nick Springer have expressed their fears that the 38-year-old American businessman was abducted last Wednesday from a construction site he was managing near Pattaya.
Springer, a native of Washington, had been working in the area with a man named Harvey Sims to set up a kitchen cabinet and woodworking factory. Sims became worried after Springer failed to show up for work three-days running.
Further investigation by Sims revealed that a Thai security guard near the construction site had seen Springer being led into a car by a Thai woman. The security guard reported that Springer appeared “either sick or impaired.”
“I think he’s been drugged and abducted,” Sims told Seattle-based Kirotv.com.
He backed up this assertion with evidence that Springer had recently received threats from his ex-girlfriend. This ex-girlfriend was the last person to answer Springer’s phone, though she has since disappeared.
Though Sims reports that the Thai police have proven reluctant so far to investigate the disappearance, the US Embassy and the State Department have both joined in on the search.
