An American man in Pattaya was arrested this morning for allegedly stabbing his Thai girlfriend, who had to escape from the condo with her 7-year-old son to seek help.

Nicholas Dana Hillman, 49, was arrested at his Jomtien condo at about 5:30am today. At the scene, police found six knives scattered on the floor, a bag of crystal meth, and an almost-empty whiskey bottle.

Hillman was lying on his bed when police stormed his room on the third floor of Pattaya Condotel Chain, Thai News Agency reported.

According to the property’s security guard, Damrong Arjdee, the victim was a Thai woman aged 35-40. She rushed down from the condo with her son and told the guard she had been stabbed at the right side of her upper body. The woman also reportedly had a head injury.

Damrong then alerted the authorities and rescue volunteers, who sent the woman to the hospital.

Hillman is now being drug tested, as the police investigation continues.
