All Bangkok expressways are currently open and and will remain operating as usual for the time being, the Expressways and Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (Exat) announced today.
Exat countered media reports that they would close Silom, Victory Monument and Sukhumvit exits because of the People’s Democratic Reform Committee protest tomorrow.
Exat said that expressways can only be closed by an order from the agency’s governor, the Bangkok Post reported.
They said that they would monitor the protests and immediately notify the public if they do ultimately decide to close any expressways.
