A Thai AirAsia shuttle bus crashed into a Nok Air jet at Don Mueang Airport on Friday night and damaged the plane but no one was injured.

At 10:55pm, a Nok Air Boeing 737-86J was parked at Gate 35 when the AirAsia shuttle bus hit the front left part of the jet at its nose.

Fortunately, the plane was empty and awaiting preparations for a scheduled morning flight, Khaosod English reported.

Though it has been reported that the shuttle bus was also without passengers, it was operated by a driver and there is no report of that person being injured.

Nok Air released a statement on Saturday saying that the plane’s structure must be checked. If any damages were found, the plane would have to be suspended from service for repairs.

Meanwhile, Thai AirAsia disclosed that the crash was an accident, and promised to cooperate with Nok Air’s investigation.

The airline didn’t give a reason for why the shuttle bus might have hit the jet.
