64 super shnit Swiss films next month

Have you ever thought it would be cool to lose yourself in some short films on the same day they’re being watched in cities such as Kyoto and New York?

Maybe the thought hadn’t occurred to you but now that it has: Bangkok will serve as one of nine playgrounds for a Swiss international film festival next month.

The Shnit International Short Film Festival will run from Oct. 8 through Oct. 12 at TK Park at Central World.

Sixty-four “shnit” short films selected from 7,000 entries will screen during the festival’s five days. Shnit, pronounced “sha-nit,” is Swiss slang meaning stylish, different and unique.

Tickets to one program are THB120 with buffet tickets for five screenings and popcorn available for THB300. Entry to the Shnit workshops and discussions costs THB220 (THB120 students).

Reservations can be made at 099-442-6165 or 085-297-7544.
