4G auctions back on for August

The on-again, off-again plan to auction off spectrum licenses for 4G service providers this August appears back on the books.

A government committee approved resuming the original plan by telecom regulators to proceed with the auction in August.

The National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission will be asked to dust off its original plans and moved forward with the auctions which were canceled soon after the ruling junta came to power in the coup this past May.
