‘300’ star seriously injured in Bangkok

The Australian star of “300: Rise of an Empire” was seriously injured in Bangkok yesterday.

Sullivan Stapleton, whose name is as muscular as his General Themistocles leading Greeks into theaters next week, was in Thailand filming a U.S. television series and was exploring Bangkok in his free time yesterday.

The cause of his injuries was not disclosed.

Production for that show will be halted for six months following the completion of its Thai shoot, as the actor does most of his own stunts, according to the Syndey Morning Herald.

The actor’s publicist said Sullivan was expected to make a full recovery.

Strike Back, an action show produced by U.S. cable network Cinemax, was shooting two episodes in Bangkok.
