10-meter pit reopens on road

Another hellmouth rent open in Thailand today, this time blamed on too much wet rather than too little.

A 10-meter sinkhole took opened on the route between Trang and Krabi provinces this morning, prompting officials to shut down traffic.

A roadworks company said this is the second time a sinkhole opened up at the same spot, as the company just fixed it in January, according to Phitsanu Noisawan of the Civil Engineering Company.

Although drought has been blamed for roads collapsing elsewhere, Phitsanu said he believed the earth collapsed due to many wet, rainy days. They expect to fill the hole within two days, Manager reported.

Hellmouth, Phitsanu. Definitely a hellmouth.
