New MMA Promotion ‘Full Metal Dojo’ To Launch In Phuket

Jon Nutt, a former bouncer from Boston, has formed his own MMA promotion in Thailand. ‘’Full Metal Dojo’’ will launch next month in Phuket with the inaugural show taking place at Seduction Nightclub, Patong.

Nutt is a long term MMA fan and former fighter who is launching his new venture in conjunction with a team of Thai investors.

The first show is set for June 7th, with the weigh-in taking place at the upmarket Joe’s Downstairs restaurant the previous day.

In total there will be seven fights on the card with a mixture of amateur and professional action and the man behind it all had the following to say.

“We are about to take this beautiful island and the sport of MMA to another level with our brand new professional Mixed Martial Arts Promotion,” said Jon Nutt, CEO of Full Metal Dojo (FMD).

“For far too long, MMA in Thailand has been geared towards an English speaking audience. We aim to break that trend, flip it on its head and bring MMA to the real Thai mass audience. Get ready to enter… the Full Metal Dojo.”

Tickets are currently on sale from various outlets in Phuket priced at THB1,000 each and the entire event will be filmed and released on YouTube with both Thai and English language commentary.
