Producers from the original RuPaul’s Drag Race, the inspiration behind the Thai spinoff Drag Race Thailand, which premiered a few months ago, were impressed enough with the Siam version that they decided to subtitle it and release it in the US. It will be available next month on WOW Presents Plus, the paid streaming service for Drag Race’s production house, starting May 4.
The Thai version of the show features two glamorous, well-known Thai drag performers, Art-Araya In-dra and Pangina Heals, hosting the show in place of RuPaul. Though the new subtitled version of the show is only available in the US, if it proves popular, maybe it will gain worldwide distribution.
