Wonderfruit 2016 to feature Rudimental, Buakaw and stage made of rice

The organizers of Wonderfruit, the music and lifestyle festival, have revealed some of the lineup and activities to be enjoyed when they put on the third installment of the festival in December at Siam Country Club, Pattaya.

In the third Wonderfruit, musical headliners will include UK drum-and-bass group Rudimental and Scottish hip-hop trio Young Fathers. Rounding out the international lineup is a genre-bending collection of artists including JUNUN featuring Shye Ben Tzur & The Rajasthan Express, Kate Simko & The London Electronic Orchestra, Guyanese dub music hero Mad Professor, Brooklyn’s revered dance producers Wolf + Lamb, Matador, and Nastia.

Meanwhile, the local favorites such as Rasmee Isan Soul, Zero Hero, Yena, Srirajah Rockers, The Superglasses Ska Ensemble and DJ Dragon also promise to take the stage.

Another important aspect of Wonderfruit is the well-designed architecture of their stages. This year, a new stage, called the “Farm Stage,” will be added to honor Thailand’s history of agriculture. It will be designed by PO-D Architects x Thor, who utilize harvested rice as a principal building medium. Also, there will be a stage made out of rice.

Other wellness activities include yoga, cycling and talks, but the highlight is superstar boxer Buakaw, who will be teaching festival goers the basics of Muay Thai. YAS!

Centered on six pillars: music, arts, farm-to-feasts, wellness, workshops and family, Wonderfruit will be held on Dec. 15 – 18 at Siam Country Club, Pattaya.
