Bangkok-born graffiti artist Bonus TMC, kicks off his first solo exhibition in Thailand with an opening reception tonight at Goja. You probably know Bonus’ work from bridges and cement walls around town – he’s known for stunningly lifelike sprays of animals and wildlife, especially birds and bears. Check out his latest work on top of W-District beforehand, it can be easily seen from atop Phra Khanong BTS.

COOL GADGETS: Thailand Mobile Expo 2014

Get ready to pimp out your mobile and get up on the latest technology game at this year’s Thailand Mobile Expo. Imagine MBK’s Mobile Mart on steroids, only with better discounts, promos and presentations from tech-savvy industry experts.

This flea market outside of Museum Siam is for indie music lovers, both old and new. Browse through vinyl, CDs and handmade crafts while catching live performances from well-known local acts like The Sangsom Massacre, Plastic Section and Free Typewriter.

Scandi trio Postiljonen are taking over the stage at Cosmic Café to disseminate electro-pop and bright synthesizer sounds. Although the band doesn’t start until 11:30 p.m., come early to get the full-meal-deal from local up-and-coming acts De Connextor, Cut The Crab and Cloud Behind.

FREE DRINKS: Artists’ Night Out

It may be another gimmick-y networking event, but we can’t deny Bath Bangkok’s Artists’ Night Out makes for the perfect Saturday pre-drink. Creative people (models, musicians, photographers and anyone working in media and entertainment… so basically anyone and everyone in Bangkok) are invited to come between 7 pm and 10 pm for three free drinks and a little schmooze-fest.

AWARENESS PICNIC: Summer… Cold Bangkok!?

Thai Climate Justice is inviting all activists and environmentalists for an outdoor picnic to raise awareness about global warming and climate change. There’s a free screening of the documentary Urbanized and an education exhibition and lecture.

JUMP AROUND: Reggae Ska Concert

This line-up is a full dose of reggae and ska rock in Chatuchak Park. Six local bands including Mocca Garden, Deep O Sea, Teddy Ska Band and The Superglasses Ska Ensemble are sure to stir up some moseying amidst the greenery – and a portion of the proceeds go towards buying bulletproof vests for teachers in Southern Thailand.
