Visit Subhashok The Arts Center on August 5 for the opening reception of Kma Sirisamphan’s cheeky-but-intellectual exhibition, “Weaving Narratives: Awaken”.
Kma’s first ever solo exhibition features his own bronze sculptures, transforming his internal perceptions of growth, success, and failure into artwork that brims with creative energy. Revolving around the concept of “moving on,” the curves and lines on each sculpture are designed to reflect human life, which comes naturally with ups and downs.
Born in 1966, Kma graduated from Silpakorn University with a Bachelor’s in the Faculty of Painting, Sculpture and Graphic Arts. With sculpture as his medium, Kma wishes to create aesthetically pleasing pieces, and at the same time, provoke people to think and be mindful.
You’ll notice that the artist directs his focus towards the body’s various muscle forms: this is meant to point out the strength that one needs in order to move through the world.
From the opening night party through September 10, head to Subhashok The Arts Center and spend some time alone, or bring your friends, and get inspired. Admission is free.
