VietJet to add round trips to Bangkok, increase its fleet

Vietnam’s first privately owned, budget carrier will add another round trip to meet increased demand for budget air travel between Ho Chi Minh and Bangkok starting Sept. 12.

This will mean a larger capacity of at least 5,040 seats per week for VietJet Air’s trips to the Thai capital, Vietnamnet reported.

Flights are scheduled to depart Ho Chi Minh City’s Tan Son Nhat International Airport for Bangkok at 11:05am and 2:05pm respectively. Conversely, airplanes will depart Bangkok daily at 1:50pm and 4:35pm. The trip is estimated to last 90 minutes.

In addition to the new round trips, VietJet plans to add new Airbus jets to its fleet next month.

Tickets can be booked and purchased online direct from VietJet.
