After stints at several different venues from an MRT station to Chatuchak Market (and even Singapore!), the outdoor market has finally settled down in a new home — well, for the next five months, anyway.
Running until the end of November, Artbox Thailand will be held in a garden on Sukhumvit Road, and will see local artists, designers and street vendors slinging quirky products, handmade accessories, street eats and anything else considered hipster bait at their pop-up stalls.
Admission is free. The event is friendly for all ages, and non-big spenders — there are plenty of free activities such as live performances, concerts and art installations on site.
If you’d like to get a visual of what to expect, then peep this video that our Coconuts TV crew filmed at Artbox a couple of years back.
Artbox Thailand will run from May 30 through November 30 at Chuvit Garden. The small privately owned park is located on Soi Sukhumvit 10 and can be reached by foot from BTS Nana.
The market debuted in June 2015 at Makkasan ARL station, and found instantaneous success. It then moved on to other venues throughout Bangkok, such as Chatuchak Market and Queen Sirikit MRT station. In 2017, it traveled overseas for the first time and took place at Singapore’s Bayfront.
