Top Jazz artists to collaborate at Thailand International Jazz Conference

Set to catch all ears with the sassy jazz music, the Thailand International Conference 2016 will kick off this Friday, featuring top 60 international performers who will play in harmony.

The three-day jazz festival, which will come back with more performers on three stages, is expected to gather hundreds of jazz lovers. The main highlight is the co-performance between the Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra and world-renowned jazz artists inluding Cherryl Hayes (voice), Jens Lindemann (trumpet), Jacop Dinesen (saxophone) and Thai woodwinds master Thanit Sriklindee.

The musicians will play a range of works from their originals and past popular jazz songs by Charlie Parker and Ella Fitzgerald to orchestral music.

Another highlight is the performances of famous Thai singer Ben Chalatit, coach of The Voice Thailand television show, who has always been the locals’ favorite.

This year’s festival will also feature some visual art and the sale of T-shirts designed by musicians such as Singto Namchok and 25 hours to raise fund for students who want to develop their jazz performances.

A three-day ticket is THB3,000 and a one-day pass is THB800 with 20 percent discount for students. Tickets are available on Thai Ticket Major.
