Japanese discount megastore Don Don Donki will open a new branch Tuesday at MBK Center.

Taking up the former Japanese department store Tokyu, which went sayonara last year, the latest addition of the quirky Donki still promises a slew of fresh Japanese produce, snacks, dry goods, stationery, and household items.

Don Don Donki’s MBK branch will be its fourth in Bangkok, following locations at Seacon Square, The Market, and Ekkamai. The discount retailer – actual name Don Quijote – has more than 300 stores back in the land of rising fun.

Like its precursors, the fourth branch shows no indication it will offer adult toys like those found on its shelves back home. But who needs Tenga masturbation eggs with all that salmon sushi at rock-bottom prices?

The store can be entered through the mall or via skywalk from BTS National Stadium.
