Have you had a horrible, cringe-worthy Tinder date? If you’ve been single at any point over the last four years — and maybe even if you haven’t — you’ve likely had one of these awful evenings.
From the love scammer to the ladyboy to the Khaosan backpacker to the guy who said he had to leave Thailand because he’d come down with elephantitis, we’ve heard a lot of stories — but we always want to hear more. Now, The Comedy Club Bangkok is offering the chance to share your dating disaster story and have their improv actors act it out before your eyes. This time for laughs, not tears.

Tinder Hell is the latest improvised comedy show by the improv comics of The Comedy Club Bangkok. Creative Director Drew McCreadie said, “the show will re-enact disastrous dating stories in a live send-up of the online dating phenomenon. Improv comedy, as made famous by “Whose Line Is It Anyway?,” uses audience suggestions as the inspiration for hilarious scenes, and has proven to be very popular.”
The evening promises horror stories, online dating catastrophes, horrible hook-ups, and true love. Audience dating stories retold live on stage with embellishments by improv actors. This show makes an unusual idea for a first date — or a last one.

When asked, “What if the audience doesn’t have funny enough stories?” McCreadie replied, “There is absolutely no risk that the audience will have no terrible dating stories to share. And our team of improvisers can turn any story into something hilarious. Online dating apps are great for two things: hook-ups, and amazingly awful dating experiences.”
The show will focus on dating in the modern world. “The audience always has great stories to share…great if they didn’t happen to you! If you have ever tried online dating — or ever wanted to — then this show is for you,” he said.
The show is tomorrow at 8:30pm. Tickets are THB400 in advance and THB500 at the door.
