One of Bangkok’s first major dispensaries opened a second branch, this time on Sukhumvit between Asoke and Phrom Phong.
The Dispensary by Taratera’s new store has traded in its lab aesthetic for a swanky new look that even includes a plethora of plants growing in a mini-greenhouse to educate people on the weed plant’s growth.
Inside the greenhouse, rows of cannabis plants are carefully tended by the staff, who will be happy to explain things. The Dispensary built the greenhouse to promote the potential of Thai weed, which anyone can legally grow. Unfortunately, they aren’t for sale.
“We want The Dispensary to be an established source of clean, safe, and trustworthy cannabis flowers,” CEO and co-founder Kajkanit “Gem” Sakdisubha told Coconuts. “We aim to provide the best Thai indoor-cultivated cannabis for all our customers.”
Of course, there’s also abundant strains at the counter. They remain pretty much what’s available at the shop’s other branches, and come in quantities of 1 gram and 3.5 grams. Kajkanit said their newest strain, Indica-dominant Wedding Cake, is their newest stock.
Apart from the weed, there’s smoking pipes and bongs that come in funky shapes and sizes imported from America.
It marks The Dispensary’s third branch, following one at The Commons Sala Daeng and in Chiang Mai on Nimmanahaeminda Road.
The Dispensary was among the first to open in Bangkok after cannabis was decriminalized in June.
Its new location can be found right next to popular ramen restaurant Mensho Tokyo between BTS Phrom Phong and Asoke. It’s open 10am to 9pm on Monday to Thursday, and 10am to 10pm on Friday to Sunday.
