Thailand’s largest Apple store opens Friday at CentralWorld

The iOS faithful will have a new temple of worship starting Friday, when Apple’s second and largest store in Thailand opens next to a downtown shopping mall.

Apple announced this morning that its Apple Central World, located next to downtown shopping mall CentralWorld, will open at 10am on Friday to welcome fans to gather around its glass-wrapped wooden vortex, said to architecturally express a forest canopy. Each level is connected by a spiral staircase in the middle of the building.

In addition to product displays, the store will feature a “Boardroom,” “Video Wall” and “Forum,” for artists, developers, entrepreneurs and more to gather. It will be staffed by 130 employees who can speak 17 languages between them.

Apple Central World is the Cupertino, California, company’s second shop in Thailand after Apple Iconsiam, which opened in November 2018.

Apple Central World will open 10am to 9pm every day and be reachable via BTS Chit Lom’s skywalk.

Don’t rush over yet: Patrons are required to reserve 45-minute visits online and must wear face masks and submit to body temperature scans before entering the store.
