TAT teams up with Bangkok swing dancers to produce jamming new clip (VIDEO)

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) teamed up with dancers from Bangkok Swing to produce a happy, movement-filled video designed to make Thai travelers aware of mid-week travel deals.

The happy, one-minute clip features swing dance teachers Maleeya Note and Oat Naviroj as hotel staff greeting three young tourists checking into their room.

Oat proceeds to dance them through the hotel, to their massage appointments and, eventually, to a dance party on the beach.

The TAT’s video team approached the swing dancers with the idea of promoting mid-week travel deals and they wanted to use a bellboy as a dancing narrator. The Bangkok Swing team stepped in and came up with the moves and the attitude.

The TAT team wanted a swing dance style but Maleeya said that they added some tap moves in as well to increase the fun vibe.

Happy bellboy Oat added that it was a new experience for him to go though an official casting process and spend a full day shooting.

The team spent a day creating the footage in Pattaya and recorded many more dance scenes, but only a few made it into the short clip. We’d sure like to see the outtakes!
