The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) plans to submit a request to the National Council for Peace and Order to push back the curfew.

TAT Governor Thawatchai Arunyik says the organization will first discuss the issue with the Ministry of Tourism and Sports in a meeting tomorrow, before making the request for a later curfew.

The TAT wants the curfew pushed back mainly to help areas that rely on tourism.

Thawatchai says a later curfew in tourist areas would not affect the political situation and would also ease the anxiety of tourists who are here to enjoy a holiday.

To try to boost tourism, the TAT will also cooperate with airlines and hotels to offer special tour promotions in the North, Northeast and South of Thailand, Spring News reported.
