Another day, another new weed dispensary in Bangkok. While you, dear reader, might be thinking Oh here we go again (and we don’t blame you if that’s the case!), we’d like to borrow some of your time to introduce you to Wake N Bake, which, by our initial judgment, is actually not like a lot of the city’s other dispensaries, for a couple of different reasons.

Let’s jump right into the menu, which is arguably Wake N Bake’s main differentiating aspect: in addition to their large cannabis and cannabis-infused menu (which we’ll get to in just a minute), they also have several non-CBD-infused baked goods. That’s right — this is one of the few dispensaries in town that caters to both smokers and non-smokers, making it a suitable hangout spot where you can enjoy a “special” brownie or mango cake (to name a few goodies) while your friend munches on a “not-special” version of the same dish. And speaking of baked goods, we think it’s worth mentioning that Wake N Bake’s pastry chef is an actual pastry chef with a degree in baking from Sweden, so you can be certain that not only are only the highest quality ingredients utilized, but all the pastries on the menu were actually made by someone who knows what they’re doing.

Before we jump into their cannabis menu, we also want to point out that this dispensary isn’t just operated by your run-of-the-mill stoner bro entrepreneur, but that the owner is a big shareholder in Medicana Labs, a medical-grade indoor farm that uses state-of-the-art technology to maintain their plants, thus ensuring consistent quality in their products.

This attention to quality is reflected in Wake N Bake’s CBD menu, which ranges from your usual aforementioned baked goods including brownies, nutella cake, and peach tarts, as well as banana milk cream, chrysanthemum tea, and cocoa-based drinks. On the more innovative side of things, try out their cannahoney and cannabutter (which are, you guessed it, CBD-infused honey and butter).

Within their large cannabis menu, there were three that particularly stood out to us. First up is Yoohoo Nerdz, a balanced hybrid strain that will appeal to those with a sweet tooth, thanks to its sweet and fruity flavor. Next is another balanced strain called Riddlz, which is on the opposite end of the spectrum from Yoohoo Nerdz in terms of sweetness, and instead tastes more earthy and “kushy.” Finally, there’s Garlic Storm, an Indica-dominant hybrid, whose simultaneous fruity and earthy flavor profile tastes like it’s a combination of the first two. The shop’s prices range from THB400 (US$10.95) to THB800 (US$21.89). Plastic grinders, rolling papers, and lighters are also available for on-site purchase.

Wake N Bake is located at Thonglor 15, has free parking spaces for customers, and unlike a lot of dispensaries, accepts credit card payments. If you don’t have the time to make it over there in person, they also deliver via Grab (yes, really!). Find them on Facebook or Instagram to get in touch!
