“Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening,” Coco Chanel once said.
Political protests are happening, but even Chanel couldn’t have imagined someone would feel fabulous enough to stage a fashion shoot under the threat of tear gas.
The latest issue of Praew, a semi-monthly women’s fashion magazine, features the most stylish protest leader in the bunch, Anchalee Paireerak, who was photographed at a protest site and spotted head-to-toe in timeless black.
Anchalee, known as “Sister Pong” to the protesters, is described by the magazine columnist as “an outspoken woman who goes after what she believes in … even a 100 men could not stop her from digging and exposing the truth.”
Aside from leading protests, Anchalee is a television personality known for straightforward statements. She is currently a host on the “Bluesky” channel, a media outlet of the opposition Democrat party, Postjung reported.
