Studio Ghibli Film Festival, featuring 7 animated classics, kicks off tomorrow

Seven anime film classics by Studio Ghibli will be showing at select branches of SF Cinema for two weekends.

Starting tomorrow, you can watch the highly acclaimed movies by the Japanese animation giants on the big screen.

On the schedule are Castle in the Sky (1986), My Neighbour Totoro (1988), Kiki’s Delivery Service (1989), Porco Rosso (1992), Princess Mononoke (1997), Spirited Away (2001), and Howl’s Moving Castle (2004).

The films will be screening this weekend (Nov. 25-26) and the next (Dec 2-3) at SF Cinema theaters in Bangkok’s CentralwOrld and MBK Center, as well as MAYA Chiang Mai, Central Khonkaen, Central Chonburi, and Central Phuket.

Movie tickets start from THB150.

For more Ghibli love, CentralwOrld’s The World of Studio Ghibli’s Animation Exhibition has been extended to Jan. 2, 2024. If you haven’t had the chance to check out the exhibition, which launched in July and was originally scheduled to close in September, you may do so now to celebrate some of the most revered animated classics in the world.

Regular ticket prices for the exhibition are THB590 online and THB650 at the door.
