Students thank teachers with a 2014 twist

Seriously. No fun-loving teacher wants a boring, traditional flower tray.

As a part of traditional teacher appreciation ceremonies held last week, classrooms were required to create their own flower trays and the competition grew pretty creative.

While the candles and joss sticks are indispensable to the formula, the students otherwise threw out convention to innovate the designs.

Apparently the World Cup and Line games provided a lot of inspiration, based on these photos shared through Twitter.

Some older inspirations held on. Although flower trays in the shape of Line characters and Angry Birds are old news, some students clung to their favorite apps but threw in some of the national obsession, Cookie Run, into the mix.
