You made it, bitches.

Closed months and believing it could be permanent, drag show destination Stranger Bar will be back strutting in heels tonight.

Fans got the good news today that the bar, forced shut by the COVID-19 second wave – and absence of foreign tourists – will survive another day thanks to donors and kick things off again tonight with four hours of drag.

The first show will start at 9pm, and the night will feature performances by Angele Anang, Natalia Pliacam and, of course, venue owner and host M Stranger Fox.

The Stranger Bar is located on Silom Soi 4, near BTS Sala Daeng and MRT Silom.

Like other nightlife purveyors, Stranger has felt deep pain under the various restrictions which have been in place since March. Unlike others, its clientele relies heavily on travelers from abroad.

M Stranger Fox, aka Chakgai Jermkwan, told Coconuts that his bar was set to “go out of business” before fans responded to its crowdfunding campaign with just over US$6,600 (THB 200,000) in help.
