Slay some books with St. George for World Book Day in Bangkok

Celebrate World Book Day on Sunday in a charming urban sanctuary, less than two weeks after Bangkok held its two big book fairs.

The event, organized by the Embassy of Spain and creative art space Mesa 312, will promote reading culture and the festival of St. George, which commemorates the Catalonian patron saint known for his awesome dragon-slaying.

At GalileOasis in Ratchathewi, local and Spanish independent bookstores will showcase their works, and attendees can partake in fun, engaging workshops such as princess pinata making, Thai creative writing sessions, and eat lots of Spanish food.

Seafood eatery Fishmonger will provide its crispy fish and chips made exclusively from Thai local fish caught from Koh Lanta.

Entry is free. GalileOasis is a short ride from BTS Ratchathewi.

This book fair falls less than two weeks after the massive 51st National Book Fair and 21st Bangkok International Book Fair 2023 at the Queen Sirikit Convention Center on April 9.
