A nationalistic tune from a previous era of military rule is being spiced up and re-recorded to continue the return of happiness and clear up any remaining misunderstandings.
“Let Us Love Each Other,” an anthem composed by Nakorn Thanonsap under the military dictators of 1971, sings of unity and cooperation among all Thais regardless of their differences.
Forty-three years later it’s being brought back for a new generation’s children, according to officials. The junta aims to adjust the locals’ attitudes about democracy and help foster love between Thais.
When we heard from Khaosod English it would be updated with a new MV featuring celebrities Usamanee Waithayanon and Akkapan Namart singing with an army band and soldiers, we decided it would be in everyone’s best interest to translate and share the love.
So start practicing now and be ready to sing along when it shows up during the next junta broadcast!
