According to staff at the fancy mall, this is something that happens every day.
Facebook user Garn Sripaurya shared a footage from a Siam Paragon security camera showing his friend lose her wallet to three pickpocketers at the mall’s supermarket.
In the video, a woman wearing a blue top quickly reaches her hand into the tote bag of the victim (bright orange top) while two men in black shirts cover her action from public eyes before the three separate.
After talking to staff at the mall, Garn said he was told it happens all the time. He shared the video online as a warning to others.
There was no indication whether police had been notified or any suspects arrested.
Garn suggested the thieves might target shorter girls because it’s easier to reach into their shoulder bags.
